PRE-ORDER BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HOT PLACE

FRESHMAN MOM REQUESTS

As some of you know I am in the final stages of completing a book for Harper Collins on how fifty is not the new thirty. If you didn’t know it now you do.

It’s a humorous look at aging that covers everything: health – work – sex – menopause – death and on and on….

There is a chapter on death and one on what happens when your children leave home.

This is where I am reaching out to you readers.

I am looking for some examples of what people go through emotionally and psycholologically when their kids leave home.
Does it make you feel older? Does it make you feel like a big part of your life is behind you? What adjustments if any have you made or just plain what does it feel like? Does is suck? Were you prepared? Wassup with it – as Taylor would say?

The other place I am looking for some anecdotes is in the area of death.

If you are fifty or in your fifties have you lost one or both of your parents?

If so what impact has that left on you?

Where do you place that in big events in your life as well as in the aging process?

All quotes will be anonymous. No one will know who you are.

Unless you want your name in – but that is only if you want.

I have until Dec first to turn in my manuscript so the clock is ticking.

You can send your responses to me at tracey@traceyjacksononline.com

the email address that is on my website
I am very grateful to anyone who is willing to share some of their feelings on these topics with me.

Thank you
