TRACEY AND TAYLOR TALK TO MARY CARACCIOLI OF MARY TALKS MONEY

Mary  Caraccioli  not only has a show that goes all over the country to ABC affiliates but has her own popular  site  LIVE WELL for abc.com. We sat down with her last month to talk about Lucky Ducks.

She  took a great deal of time editing and having an expert weigh in. The result is a well thought out segment that really gets the point across. Thank you Mary!

When you say “we’re the parents we often wanted, not necessarily what our children need” is so applicable to all of our lives as individuals I think – and that’s just part of the American culture which is, in part, not a bad intent at the start – meaning it is striving towards self-improvement andmaking one’s life better – it is just that the definitions of “self-improvement” and “better” are now guided less by our own inner instincts for what is better for us, as opposed to what we consume sub-conciouslessly from the advertisers.

The fantastic thing in this Tracey is that you were able to pinpoint it – bang, like that – and recognize the result early on of “unhappiness,” in time to help change it. It’s so interesting you know Jackie Onassis said towards the end of her life, “People pay for what they’ve done and that doesn’t mean something bad happens to them because they did something bad. It just means they pay for living unconsciously by having to live the life they end up leading.”

P.S> Which led me to also see in your relationship the same sort of sudden consciousness of how Jackie Onassis influenced and changed the life of her son. You know she had friends in India and sent him to India to work – and also Africa.

That is amazing Carl. You nailed it in your comment and i can so relate to the Jackie quote in terms of people in my won life. So, so true. Thank you!
