BLOG ON THE RUN

If this blog suddenly cuts off it’s because I’m writing it from The Delta Sky Lounge at Narita airport in Tokyo. Our plane for Hong Kong leaves in an hour and a half and I’m not sure when they will call it. But, I wanted to get something in before we hit our next stop.

We spent the last four days in Santa Barbara celebrating Christmas with my mother and catching up with old friends.

When my mom was at her worst I would keep her going with the promise she would be up and walking without a walker by Christmas. She did it. I also promised her she would give her annual Christmas party and we would all be there. She did and we were. The only bummer being my camera decided to take all photos in through what looks like a  black cloth. So, I don’t have as many as I would like.

This one came through, my mother, Bill Cornfield and me at her annual Christmas party

Glenn was thrilled to meet actress Eva Marie Saint. I have never seen him as to have his picture taken with anyone. This was a first

On Christmas Eve Morning I told my friend Fred Gowland we would walk the Rincon Beach. Rincon is where our friend Jack Baker lived.  Fred had not been on the beach since Jack’s death last this year. It was a gorgeous day and a special morning for both of us.

So pretty

Fred Gowland on the beach

It's one of the prettiest beaches around

I've always preferred the Pacific

Capturing the day.

On Christmas Eve afternoon we took the girls to The Mission. It's one of the prettiest Missions in the State.

They had a whole Nativity scene out in front, live donkeys and all.

Drinks on Christmas Eve with our friends John and Susie Mithcell in front of their tree.

FLIGHT CALLED. We are rolling out of here. Excuse typos, weird phrases or anything that seems out of whack.

I am so happy for you that you’ve reconnected with your mother and have spent a wonderful holiday season with her ushering in together a hopeful and bright New Year. A better and more meaningful gift couldn’t be – this is it!

I never saw the resemblance between you and your mom until this most recent photo. Say what you will about ill-functioning cameras – this one was performing magic!!! So glad you all were together for Christmas. Enjoy the Far East!!!

Hi Tracey, So glad you and your family & friends enjoyed such wonderful times together. Happy New Year… I hear we’re now in the Golden Age and that all hard workers will have a great year ~ I’ll buy into that! <3
