IT AIN’T EASY BEING GREEN & WET!
Saturday was the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New York. It’s a combination of let your Irish freak flag fly, serious National pride and a grand excuse to be drunk for the entire weekend. Tens of thousands tromp around in various shades of green, many with shot glasses hanging from their necks. In good weather the city tends to be a mess, yesterday the luck of the Irish disappeared into a snow storm, that put a bit of a damper on it, but certainly didn’t keep anyone inside.: It just made it a slushy mess. Maybe not entirely true, by the around three when the snow was really coming down people did start running for the bars and the subways a few hours ahead of schedule.
At one point I was crossing the street and watching these poor baton twirlers in these skimpy outfits, freezing to death, literally unable to toss their baton anywhere due to the wind I felt terrible for them. As crazy as the parade can drive a moderately sane, sober, non Irish person, nobody should have to go through that.

Something interesting I discovered – The New York St. Patty’s Parade is the largest parade in the world. I still find it hard to believe.

Don’t laugh we wore green sweaters. OK, you can laugh.

Who wears short shorts in the snow?????

The Three O’Migos

Got a light?

Nothing was going to snow on her parade.

St. Patty’s Color Blocking

The Green Panther. I feel like I took her picture last year.

I think he might be half Hawaiian. Notice the lei.

Everything matches – even the soda. Well, it might not be soda.

Puff Paddy.

Did they leave anything at home?

Somehow this worked.

The Hat Did It.

She made it work too.

So did he.

There actually is a parade.

Dancing the jig.

They stuck it out even in the snow.

Girls just wanna have fun.

Green Bling in a Window.

Suddenly the green was hard to find.
