BACK TRACKING TO BANGKOK

Despite the fact that Bangkok was last week, I lost my blog to Bill Gates and MS Word. So now before we head to the Cu Chu Tunnels here in Saigon I am going to try and recap what I can: One of the great things about travelling with your kids is you get to see [...]

FURTHER ADVENTURES ON THE ROAD

I need to redo Thailand since losing it all yesterrday, but I must spend the hour before I leave talking about Siem Reap.

THAILAND AND TEMPLE FEVER

It’s New Years Day here, one hundred and one degrees. It’s just after midnight at home where I hear it’s hovering in the single digits.

FRESHMAN FAMILY ON THE ROAD

On the road there is always this battle to enjoy to moment or record the moment.

CHRISTMAS FUN, FAMILIES, FRICTION AND FLIGHT

I write this Christmas blog on Christmas Day aboard a Delta flight en route to Tokyo, Thailand, Viet Nam and Cambodia. Well, the plane is only going to stop in Tokyo, and then we will get out for a few days before heading on to the other stops. For the last ten years we tend to [...]

HO-HO- HO – NO- NO-NO

Freshman arrived last night at around eight-thirty pm.

Let’s put it this way if I blog right now I will end up writing all sorts of things I will regret.

I suppose that says it all doesn’t it.

FRESHMEN FOR ALL

One of the great things about living in New York is you get to rub up against so many different types of people on a daily basis. And I don’t mean that sexually, I mean as you wander from here to there on foot, or subway, busses and cabs you always hear things, or talk to people who are outside your daily world and often they bring with them the gifts of knowledge and glimpses of insights and worlds you would never know otherwise.

FRESHMAN CHRISTMAS

I am going to spend the next ten days blogging about Christmas – Christmas past, Christmas present and Christmas future.

GOBBLE GOBBLE PLEASE DON’T PEE ON THE CARPET

I have been getting so many “Where have you been Freshman Mom?” inquiries. And “What happened?” and my favorite “We miss you!”

I told you all I would have to take a brief hiatus while I finished my book BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HOT PLACE. There was no way I could write both at the same time any longer and get the ms in on time. So now it’s in and I’m back. FRESHMAN RULE!

FRESHMAN MOM GOES TO THE MOVIES

I know it’s been awhile but I told you all I was going to have to go into hibernation to finish my book. I did – so now I am back. I have had many emails asking when I would start posting again.

I am running out and just want to send a quickie heads up to everyone — Go see THE BIND SIDE.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

As any of you who read this blog know my mother and I don’t speak.

If you asked me why I would able to tell you in very succinctly – she won’t own her mistakes and she prefers my ex-husband to me to the point that she hates me and adores him. We’ve had plenty of battles over the years but find me a mother and daughter who don’t. I’ve probably had more real fights with Taylor in the last five years than I had with my mother in the first thirty of my life and reality is Taylor and I adore each other.

FRESHMAN MOM BREAK

I just wanted all of you who follow us to know I have not abandoned ship here. There is so much going on between LUCKY DUCKS premiering in New York this week and more pressing is my upcoming deadline for my book BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HOT PLACE. I have to deliver it to Harper Collins on December first so that is where all my writing energy must go for the next three weeks.

FRESHMAN MOM

FRESHMAN MOM
