I have blogged in the past about my evil airport twin. She arrives on her broom full of furry when I am faced with frustration at airports. She has been known to throw coats, yell and even stomp on a boarding pass. She is not pretty nor does she make me proud. I have been trying to get her under control and if possible annihilate her completely.

The summer is officially over and all we have are memories. But it was a good summer, though there were so many things left to do. Books to read, people to have over, and maybe, maybe another stab at the beach. But these are some of the highlights of Summer 2010.

Every body fess up all of us have at one time or another peaked into someone’s medicine chest to see what goodies they might have hidden.

Once upon a time it was most likely to see what could be pinched for recreation. Or in my case it was just to see what others used for recreation. Nowadays my guess is it might be more “Oh look who needs Viagra.”

Though as I discovered last week instead of browsing the contents of other people’s medicine cabinets it might be a good idea to take a look at what is lurking inside our own.

They say a woman is only as happy as her best bra. Well, actually they don’t say that. They say a woman is only as happy as her unhappiest child. But I was looking for an opening sentence and that was all I could come up with.

But since we are on this, oh well, I am on this let’s get our lives together for fall kick, underwear felt like the next place to get sorted out.

The truth is most woman know very little about their boobs, their bras and the care there of. Point in fact, all of you women reading this or guys if you want can go in and ask the women in your lives, or guys wearing bras, I imagine you are OK as cross dressers usually have a real handle on these things, but the rest of you; ask yourself is the bra you’re wearing a year old? Is the elastic shot? Are your breasts pointed downwards? If you can answer yes to any of the above you need to watch the video I shot when Taylor and I made a trip to Victoria’s Secret the other day.

I learned a lot about bras and boobs and I thought I actually knew it all, and that is saying something considering we all know I’m a bit of a know it all to begin with.

Despite the fact it’s still in the eighties and we have two more weeks of summer, everyone is pretty much thinking fall, or at least the stores and media make sure we do. It’s that time of year when the magazines all weigh in at ninety pounds. I spent an hour trying to wade through Vogue today, and as always, unless you weigh eighteen pounds and don’t have to walk anywhere or carry anything or happen to have a hundred thousand to spare on your fall wardrobe there is pretty much nothing for you.

I was figuring many of you spent yesterday cleaning those closets and getting rid of the things you didn’t wear; so in light of that and well, okay, the fact that I did it too; I made my way down to one of my favorite stores Debbie Rudoy’s Lifestyle to get some ideas on what the actual people might be wearing this fall.

I took my handy dandy flip cam which as you can tell I’m still mastering and did a little video about what real women with real lives will be wearing when the season officially changes

It's the last two weeks of summer and the blogging is sort of lazy. But that being said this week I am devoting to getting everything organized for back to college for Taylor, back to school for Lucy and organizing my life so I can hit the ground with everything in place.
First step with me is always clean the closets and get rid of what we don't need. I happen be very good at this. It may be my best skill.
So I have done a video, Taylor shot it. I think between us I'm showing too much cleavage. I ran it by Glenn, he said it looked fine to him. I will let you be the judge.

How many items do you pick up a week and each one is in it’s own little plastic house? Or even those times when….oops your underwear ends up at the cleaners by mistake and they come back on a hanger with their own plastic bag over them.

How many do you think you might go through over a lifetime? Don’t bother to figure it out, the number is too big. But the stats are staggering.

Not doing the right thing does not necessarily mean you are doing the wrong thing.
There is no question we are all capable and all do the wrong thing in different ways and at different times in all sorts of different situations. They can be self-destructive, hurtful to others or merely moments when we put our needs before someone else’s. They can be as awful as robbing a bank to as seemingly minor as creeping into a parking spot we know someone else was waiting for first.

This is the final episode of the series I wrote in memory of Blake during the week following his death. It is the conclusion to our Howard Stern adventure. We were to go on from that point up until his death trying to get something off the ground together.
Three summers ago we sat where I am sitting now and wrote a script in seven days.
I think we always knew we were having so much fun doing whatever we were doing it didn't matter if anyone liked it, picked it up or it got made. Despite us both being hungry for success the ultimate success was in forty eight years of friendship and working together. We would literally walk into every meeting and announce "We've known each other since we were two. Now how any writers can say that?" Not very damn many.

The only way I was able to somehow get through the days following Blake's death last summer was to write. The morning after he died I decided that he would want me to make people laugh. I heard him from somewhere say "Make em laugh, Tracers". I don't know how I did it, but I sat down and spent three days telling what I thought was one of the funniest adventures we had ever had as a writing team, it involves an eccentric cast including Howard Stern, various producers and an almost midget. Every good story should have an almost midget. This is part one of a three part series. This is for you Blake, one more time!

I had no idea until this week that the second most commented on blog I have ever done was the one on working out.

I do know endless people have come up to me and told me this really lit the fire under their sedentary butts and they have been doing something ever since; be it classes, spinning, strength training, biking, whatever turns them on. Because of that blog more and more people started working out. This truly thrills me. And I know it’s not always easy. It’s easy to make the commitment, it’s easy to start, but the real dedication comes from the doing it day after day after frigging day.

Anka Begley said, “Tracey posts pictures.” Which is totally true. That is exactly what I do. Though I even do it sometimes when I have something to say. For instance today I have five blogs waiting for take-off in the runway called my head; but I have spent nine hours doing the copy-edit on my book and I am sort of out of words or at least the ability to really make something tangible out of them.

I would like to know where exactly the expression comes from or at least who coined it, as it implies that the be all end all of experiences one can have is a “day at the beach.” You know when you ask somebody how something was and they respond “ No day at the beach.” No one ever says “It wasn’t like a four hours hot of sex.” or “Nothing like finishing that project I’ve been working on forever.” “Nothing like reading a great book.”
The phrase indicates that the penultimate way to spend one’s day is at the beach.

I actually went to the beach yesterday. This should not be a big deal but for me it is as I – OK- get ready – I do not love going to the beach. For me historically a day at the beach is no day at the beach.
